CCC YOUTH

The Youth Team at Capital Community Church serves students in grades 6-12 (British school years 7-13). More than 100 students take part in youth events every week. To keep up with the latest news, join our mailing list, contact us ( )

The Youth Team at Capital complements the spiritual lives of CCC families, as well as reaching out to unchurched students seeking God. We work through questions students have, teach biblical truth, worship God through music, pray together - and have a lot of fun along the way! We offer water baptism during the main CCC service several times a year for students who wish to demonstrate a public commitment to Christ.

We are always looking for adult volunteers to spend time with our fantastic youth! We also have snack and carpool rosters, and other ways to get involved. Please contact us if you are interested in helping out our youth.

Each year the Youth Team has a theme that serves to weave different talks together and present a clear message for students to grab hold of. This year (2018-2019) the theme is Psalm 62:6 "He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved." We will be spending a lot of time going more deeply into the truth of who we are or can be in Jesus.  If we truly understood this, we would live far more dynamic lives.

There are many different groups and events that contribute to the youth ministry at Capital. On Sundays we join the main congregation for worship before heading out for SMYM (Sunday Morning Youth Message), a short message aimed specifically at a teen audience.

We also invite students to Driven on Friday nights from 6:30 to 9PM. Driven is Capital Community Church's youth event for Middle School and High School students. We welcome students with dinner (please bring 10-20 kuai to contribute if you can:) , lots of games and activities, and community time. We often break into small groups to further discuss material that was taught on Sunday mornings during the Sunday youth sermon. Driven is a fantastic way to get to know the youth community and to grow in and ask questions about personal faith in Jesus. We also occasionally have special Friday night events like movie nights, all game nights, and seasonal parties. For more information please contact us at

In addition to our regular weekly groups, we work together with BICF (Beijing International Christian Fellowship) two Youth Camps during the year.

Fall Camp is a great time to build community, make friends, develop relationships between youth and leaders, and spur kids on to develop a closer walk with God. Each weekend typically attracts 150-200 people.

Spring Conference is a one weekend event that typically happens in April. Expat teens from around China come together in Beijing for an intense weekend of seeking God and learning truth together. We have 4+ sessions of worship and teaching, discussion groups, and other activities. 270 people attended the 2013 conference.

Another annual CCC event that is popular is the Easter Sunrise Service. Each Easter we leave Beijing very early and travel to the Great Wall where we spend time in prayer and worship, celebrating the resurrection of Christ as the sun rises. It is a powerful time of fellowship.

We also offer short term service trips designed for teens. These trips gives youth a chance to put their faith into action. We've seen big changes in kids through these opportunities.
